Work Principle 
Damper is a device designed to absorb shock or vibration energy. XSD dampers provide variable and damping force with wind load change to ensure smooth and stable operation of trackers. Single direction or dual actions can be optionally designed per client’s requirement.

Why use dampers
Solar tracking systems enable solar PV panel turn with the most accurate alignment as the Sun's position shifts and collect optimum sun energy for the longest period of the day and improve power output and lower levelized cost. ( Levelized Cost = Net Cost to install a renewable energy system divided by its expected life-time energy output.) However, tracking systems are unstable at relatively modest wind speeds. Measures such as external dampers must be implemented to stabilize the system.
